Kin-der-LinkŪ is a patented product of Educational Furniture Inc., founded in 1992 by an innovative designer and marketer to develop exciting bentwood furniture for kids. The Kin-der-LinkŪ stools have won acclaim for their simple design and powerful versatility. They encourage play in a similar way to building blocks. Each stool doubles as a lap desk and links in 3 ways, depending on which leg and slot is connected to make a 20 unit circle, a "snake", love seats or a row of benches. Stackable, Portable, Versatile. The Kin-der-LinkŪ was modified to exceed ASTM F963 safety testing standards and is virtually indestructible.
Designed in Brooklyn by Bashir Zivari (shown below foreground) and made in North Carolina, each of our products reflect Zivari's design philosophy of "sculptural beauty, simplicity, strength and utility". Manufacturing expertise employing the latest technology and management techniques combine with cutting edge design to deliver outstanding product quality. Water-based finishes and replenishable wood-sourcing create the highest possible level of product quality and environmental responsibility. Excellence in all things is our standard.
Bentwood gives designers the ability to play with curves and ergonomic shapes that deliver comfort, durability and beauty. Bentwood furniture was popularized by Charles (1907-78) and Ray Eames (1912-88) who embraced modern design as an agent of social change and gave shape to America's twentieth century. They identified the need for affordable, yet high-quality furniture for the average consumer that was versatile. Bashir Zivari (1961- ) identified the furniture needs of our greatest treasure and resource: our children.
Kin-der-LinkŪ furniture is not condescending, it does not pretend to be mini-adult furniture. Too often, kids are forced to make do with substandard furniture. Providing educationally appropriate furniture of exceptional craftsmanship for young kids demanded a new way of thinking. Bashir Zivari embraces this approach. Kin-der-LinkŪ develops social and motor skills, stimulates problem-solving and imagination, and helps children look at the world in a new way.
