Colors: Natural DescriptionThese bentwood, adjustable computer tables (US pat des. 376,278) are constructed entirely of 5/8", select white birch hardwood veneers. The jointless bentwood frames are cross banded with veneers placed in alternating directions for extra strength. The desktop and storage shelves are 13 ply white birch. This real wood table can be refinished for long-term use and value. The carrel-like table creates an inviting and protective environment with room for 2 kids, a wheelchair, or a teacher and child. The desktop will accomodate a CPU, monitor, keyboard, mouse and printer, plus room for writing. The table creates a work area that is conducive to learning, hides the mess of wires, and blocks equipment from falling. Computer driven routers accurately cut and shape all edges and openings, which are then hand sanded for smooth, round and safe surfaces. Rear cutaways reduce heat build-up behind the computer. The desktop, 36 3/4" x 28 deep is secured with 4 brass, shelf bracket supports, and 2 bronze hex bolts. These bolts connect through the frame into solid, 3/4", 13 ply blocks, embedded under the desk top with 2 anodized screws. The lower shelf, 36 3/4" x 13" deep, is secured in the same fashion. Both the desktop and storage shelf feature 2 1/2 inch crescent moon cutouts at the rear corners for full wire management. The bottom shelf has between 6 and 16 inches of height for storage depending upon the height of the desktop. The desktop adjusts in 2 inch increments from 16 to 30 inches. The simple adjustment requires removing the 2 hex bolts, relocating the 4 brass supports, repositioning the desktop and resecuring the bolts. A hex key is provided with each table. The table ships fully assembled. The unit rolls easily on four 840 lb. rated, non-marking, 3" locking casters, mounted on zinc plated and enameled steel brackets which are double bolted through the frame. Each table is inspected before and after bending, cutting, hand sanding, finishing and final assembly to meet our highest quality standard. The multicoat, acrylic - polyeurethane finish, is a special water-based, non-toxic finish that is extremely durable and environmentally friendly. All screws and bolts are coated or plated for rust resistance. Minimal assembly required.
